On October 22, 2008, the Young Adult Ministries of Big Valley Grace spent the morning surveying local MJC attendees about random cultural curiosities. There were quite a few opinions, especially related to the presidential election just around the corner.
The final question, which was our true goal, was “Who would you say is/was the most influential person in history?” The answers and discussion was surely interesting. It was actually surprising to see people pause for such a long time fumbling for an answer. Their supreme influence didn’t just roll of the tongue, that’s for sure.

This Sunday, November 2, at 4:30 pm will be having an initial interest meeting for the 2009 South African mission trip. We will gather in the Welcome Center just outside the Worship Center.
If you are curious about the trip , then please be there and invite those you know might be interested as well. I can guarantee this mission experience will be a life changing moment.
On Sunday October 26th after Catalyst, we will be having the scary Halloween edition of the Catalyst Film & Theology Night. This month’s film is The Village, which starts Joaquin Phoenix, William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, and Bryce Dallas Howard. Expect large doses of creepiness and suspense, as well as a good discussion about the theology of this modern day fable.
