Be at XRDS on Sunday for a wonderful look at Christmas according to the scriptures! And I’m totally excited about the upcoming series’ for our community of faith. Check out the art (thanks Elliott & Vintage Faith) and get excited with me! See here and here how we have strengthened our advertising (haha!).
Click, Press This! to the right for what’s going on the next 2 weeks! Also, Emergent Thought has created quite a fearful emergency in the church of America today. Starting January 13, 2008 we will talk about truth and how we cling to it.

Starting February 10, 2008 we will begin a step-by-step look through the Gospel of John.

In addition to all this wonderful study, we’ll get to hear from you about spiritual disciplines through a video project called RENEW.
Please contact us if you’d be interested in participating in a documentary style experiment in spiritual formation!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

Recently, as a part of XRDS, we’ve been talking about the disciplines of the faith that allow us to hear God speaking into our lives. I am a firm believer that journaling is a discipline of a recording the great works of God and the great struggles we have in Christ.
The book of Joshua feels like a historical journal to me. That’s why you read the phrase, “… to this day.” throughout the book.
In our cyber-world, journaling has taken a communal aspect through “blogging” and the blogosphere. Personally, that’s why I love blogging. It serves as a way to journal and share life and truth in community. How about you? If you have a journal you’d love to share with the XRDS Community, click here.
Here are a few resources and journal insights:
Enjoy… leave some comments on your thoughts.

We did a recent survey during XRDS and here are the results.
What do you think? Anything surprise you? I found it wild about our ages, our giving, and our homes. Makes me dream about the future…
Oh, I just had a lunch with a guy who has a cool dream that he’s willing to share at XRDS. We’ve talked about that recently in relationship to Joseph, Week 1. Have you had any dreams you’d love to challenge the community with?
Please share…
