Each August, the Big Valley Grace family provides 1,000 backpacks for lowincome kids in our community. We partner with Modesto Gospel Mission and others to provide backpacks and supplies for children who do not have the school supplies they need to begin the school year.

Every summer, more than 25,000 people participate in the San Francisco AIDS Walk. People from Big Valley Grace join the walk to share God’s compassion and hope with those touched by AIDS.

Throughout the year, short- and long-term opportunities are available to serve with our global partners as they reach the lost and hurting.

On the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Good Samaritan Ministry organizes a food drive for more than 500 families in our community who are in need. Big Valley Grace families and friends volunteer to pack and deliver Thanksgiving meal groceries.

The Big Valley Grace family has been part of Love Modesto since 2009, and many people have returned to serve on an ongoing basis. This is the ultimate goal of Love Modesto – not just a day, but a lifestyle of giving to others.
