Parish Nurse

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22)

The Parish Nurse ministry of Big Valley Grace offers assistance to help meet physical, mental and spiritual needs of the whole person to promote wellness.  The Parish Nurse is not a substitute for a personal physician, but serves as an educator seeking to promote an understanding of the relationship between life style, attitudes, faith and well-being.  She also serves as a resource acting as a liaison to community resources and services, and as a consultant discussing health problems and making home, hospital, and nursing home visits as needed or requested.
