Senior Adults

“Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.”
Psalm 71:18

Life does not end at retirement; it’s just beginning!  The over 60’s are the fastest growing age group in our society and these freedom years can offer opportunity for the greatest contributions and most important work of one’s life.  Though some may despair in growing older, God delights in it.  The Bible says, “Gray hair is a crown of splendor.”  Growing older is a privilege!  It is a gift to be treasured!  As with Abraham, Moses, Noah and so many more, God wants your second half in life to be your best.  With Christ the best is always yet to come!

Senior Adults is a growing and active ministry at Big Valley Grace.  If you look around you will find seniors joyfully and actively serving in both our church and community making a significant impact for Christ.  They are living for the love of God and to leave a lasting legacy for the generations to come. 

Opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth and service are offered through:

Prime Time
Sundays at 10:45 a.m. in the Fireside Room
Pastor Rick and Yvonne Thompson lead seniors in music and Bible-based teaching. Come enjoy great teaching and get to know other seniors each Sunday morning.  Socials are planned throughout the year.

VIP’s
Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. in the Fireside Room
These morning sessions include food, music, worship, Bible study, and the joy of gathering together with other seniors who love the Lord Jesus Christ and love one another. Recreational trips and activities are also planned throughout the year.

Small Groups
We have numerous groups for seniors that meet at various times and locations throughout the week.
