The past two years, individuals, families and small groups from our church delivered groceries to nearly 700 families in need. So many people in our church and organizations donated all of these groceries so that we could help those in our church and community who needed some help right before Thanksgiving. Mark your calendars for Thanksgiving Reach 2008 - Saturday, November 22.

We were so blessed to be part of this outreach. We delivered groceries to a family who live just around the corner from Big Valley Grace. She is a grandmother who is raising her grandchildren. She was so thankful, she had tears in her eyes. God is so good! — Cindy Cianfarani
What an incredible experience! That is the only way I can think to describe the feelings I have reflecting on Thanksgiving REACH 2006. The positive energy that quickly developed in the sanctuary was amazing! I arrived at the home of the family and they invited me in. It was one female adult and several children ranging in age from 2 through 12. They all helped to bring the food into the house, we talked for a while and then I asked if it would be ok if we prayed. So we all held hands in a circle and gave glory and praise to God Almighty for his blessings that day! It is an experience that I will never forget. It is my hope and vision that my small group can reach out to serve this family, not only during this holiday season, but throughout the entire year! — Bret States
Being an educator, I often see families in need. This year, through casual conversation, I learned of three needy families in the community in which I teach; one family whose father hadn’t been working for the past several months, another family that is just struggling to make ends meet, and the family of my student teacher who is a single mom with three very hungry boys to feed. My husband, son, and I loaded up the pickup with food and drove out to Escalon on the day of THANKSGIVING Reach. What a blessing it was for all three of us to offer these families God’s grace and love as well as food to help them get through their difficult times. Our God is so amazing! It is an honor to serve HIM!
