Special Needs

Motivated by compassion and love, Christian Berets reaches out and cares for our friends with special needs by living and sharing the the life of Jesus through summer camps, retreats, recreational sports, support groups, local ministries and exciting activities. For over 35 years, we’ve been respecting and honoring, appreciating and affirming, befriending encouraging and loving and caring for our friends. We need your help in the venture. If you are interested in knowing more and/or being a part of this vision, please let us know for we will help you in getting connected.

Get Involved:
• Volunteering for scheduled work days and projects at the Whispering Pines Conference and Retreat Center in Mi Wuk Village (east of Sonora)
• Volunteering to help with fundraising events, summer camps, retreats and other ministry activities throughout the year
• Donating linens, curtains, window coverings, shower rugs, sleeping bags, paint sprayer, TV monitors and DVD players, chalk line machine, 18-inch wading pools, sports equipment, softball home plate with bases, fishing poles and equipment, computer software, puppets, bath towels, life vests, canoes, paddle boats, art and craft supplies
• Visiting people with special needs at hospitals, convalescent centers, care facilities, job sites and residences
