Africa

AFnet is a ministry, focused on Leadership Training, Strategic Church Planting and AIDS-Orphan Relief. AFnet was originally set up with the aim of training African Leadership and expanding the Christian cause in Africa through strategic church planting efforts across many countries. However, in time it became evident to us that apart from the specific Christian cause there also is a desperate cry for humanitarian aid all across Africa. And so, AFnetAid was formed in 2001 as a third strategic arm of AFnet, but with a non-sectarian agenda. The aim of AFnetAid is humanitarian, and with a focus on community development and AIDS relief, more specifically focusing on the needs of AIDS Orphans in Africa.  During the last twenty years we have joined hands over ministry, denominational and tribal boundaries in an effort to see Africa transformed. And today this vision of AFnet is being realized. But many Africans still live without hope. They need our help and your support. Let’s get more involved with AFnet so that we may find on going redemptive solutions to both the spiritual and physical needs of the people of Africa.

Get Involved:
Pray, be informed and take action.
Go. Within the next two years, we’re going to be sending teams skilled in training for health, children, vocations, agriculture, etc.  If you’re interested, let us know.

Sponsor-A-Child. Soon, we’ll be introducing to our adopting large group communities on how one can sponsor one of the many orphans in Eersterust Village.
Serve.  We’re looking for someone or a couple who is at a stage of life where they could financially go to South Africa to serve with AFnet as the overseeers of interns and short-term teams that our church and other churches will be sending. If you’re interested, let us know.

One-hundred million abused and abandoned children, many orphaned by AIDS, live desperate lives trying to survive on the streets of virtually every city in the developing world. They are alone...hungry...without hope. They are society’s outcasts, begging and stealing to make it through each new day. Agape Children’s Ministry is a non-profit, Christian mission organization dedicated to bringing help and hope to these children. Agape’s initial project is helping street boys in the East African city of Kisumu, in western Kenya. Since 1993, Agape has been developing a comprehensive program designed to rescue boys from the streets and provide the means by which each boy can grow and mature into a productive, contributing member of the community; a responsible, loving husband; an exemplary father and provider for his family.
