It is Jesus Christ’s intention that every believer would grow more deeply in love with Him. Yet often we find ourselves at a loss as to how to cultivate and nourish that relationship. Often God uses more mature believers to assist the less mature believer in this process of growth. Big Valley Grace has described this assistance as mentoring. Mentoring is not so much a curriculum as it is an intentional relationship of spiritual companionship.

It is an investment of time, experience, and insight, guided by the Holy Spirit and Scripture, in the life of another believer. But most of all it is an investment of one’s very life in the life of another for the sake of Jesus Christ. If you are a new believer, or even one who has known Jesus for some time, we want to encourage you to avail yourself of the opportunity of enjoying a mentoring relationship.
