VISION Our vision is that every believer would be in the process of being transformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others and to the glory of God. Romans 8:29; 12:1-2, 2 Peter 3:18
MISSION Our mission is to help every Christ follower recognize their need to be in Bible studies and discipleship to facilitate transformational growth. 1 Timothy 4:15-16
STRATEGY • Invite and train mature believers to be disciples/mentors. Connect new believers with mature believers using the Christian Life Series or One to One Discipleship material. Matthew 28:19 • Offer large group and small group opportunities for everyone to become familiar with the basic truths of the Christian faith, presently called the Foundations of the Faith class. 2 Peter 3:18 • Help anyone desiring Bible classes to connect to the various studies available at Big Valley Grace (Group-Link home studies, Men’s, Women’s, mid-week or Sunday classes) for “training in righteousness”. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 • Provide everyone attending or listening to the weekend sermons via internet or radio with personal or group application material. (Personal Devotions -Small Group Discussion page attached to Sermon Notes)
GOALS • Every year many older believers would be trained to disciple or mentor younger believers who want to mature and grow in their relationship with Jesus. • Every member and attendee will have taken the Foundations class. • All members and attendees will be actively participating in spiritually transforming Bible studies or growth groups. • Every member and attendee would be an image bearer of the Lord Jesus Christ for the sake of others and to the glory of God in thought, word and deed. A changed life is the key to a changed life. FORMATION TOOLS PROAPT Worksheet: Click here to download the Proapt Worksheet. ONLINE LECTIO: Click here to visit the online lectio with lectionary.
