Every month at Big Valley Grace people will stand before family, friends, and even strangers confessing that Jesus Christ has saved them from their lives of sin and death, and given them new, abundant, and eternal life through faith in Him. These are people who have identified with Jesus Christ’s death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. They have called Him Lord and intend, by His grace and power, to continue following Him. Through their outward baptism in water they are announcing to the world the inner cleansing and renewal that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. They are boldly witnessing to the fact that Jesus Christ has set them free to walk in the newness of His life and His love.  This is a life worth experiencing personally!

As followers of Jesus Christ, we celebrate the sacrament of baptism to testify of the work that God has done in us through faith. Sacraments are, as Augustine said "outward and visible signs of an inward and spiritual grace."
Baptism is not the means of salvation, but instead, symbolizes the work of salvation Jesus Christ has done in us through faith in Him alone. In baptism we are, in obedience to Christ’s command, identifying with Christ’s death and resurrection and the new life imparted to us by His Holy Spirit. We encourage everyone who claims to be a follower of Christ to be baptized as an outward expression and testimony of faith.

If you have not yet been baptized you too can give glory to God and testify to His saving love for you. Each month classes are offered that explain and prepare you for the sacrament of baptism.
