We exist to lift up the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our desire to be a church living in authentic community, loving and supporting one another as we journey through life together, encouraging everyone to be a part of a small group.

Humanity has been created to experience a life-giving, intimate relationship with God and to experience relationship with others for the sake of God’s glory. From the beginning of creation God Himself proclaimed that it was not good for man to be alone. In God’s design, our relationship with Him was not to the exclusion of relationships with others, but instead would be enhanced by those other human relationships. Too often one finds in the mind of believers the mistaken notion that they have no need of others, when in fact the moment they identify with Christ in death and resurrection they become members of His body. They are, by nature of their communion with Christ, now functioning members of the community formed around Christ. We all need to intentionally seek out this community and develop relationships that promote personal transformation into Christ-likeness, build up Christ’s body, the Church, and extend His light into this world.

It is the desire of Big Valley Grace to encourage and support the development of that Christ centered community. To connect believers in authentic, meaningful, and transforming relationships, centered in Christ is one of the primary goals of this ministry. Small groups is the primary way community is experienced at Big Valley Grace. These small groups, along with mid-sized gatherings such as Men’s and Women’s Bible studies and adult classes like Couples Connection and Forever Family, provide opportunities for believers to grow both in relationship with Christ and in relationship with one another. It is our intention through these groups to foster an environment of welcome and safety in which the presence of Christ can be manifested. For where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of them.
