World Vision has been working in Haiti for more than 30 years. There were over 50,000 sponsored children and 370 staff members in Port-au-Prince when the earthquake hit. Although World Vision's office in the capital sustained significant damage, all staff members were confirmed safe and are initiating a response to the devastation.

World Vision is by far the largest and most influential Christian relief and development organization in Haiti. They will not be leaving after relief is done, but will continue for years to come.
